VIENNA, W. Va. – The Kentucky Wesleyan College men's soccer team closed out their West Virginia road trip with a 3-0 loss at Ohio Valley University on Saturday.
The Fighting Scots scored in the 17th and 35th minute to take a 2-0 lead to halftime. Their final goal of the game was netted in the 84th minute.
Wesleyan improved to four shots in the second half but were unable to execute. The Panthers finished with six shots, four of which were on goal. Anatoli Gishe led the team with two shots.
Lucas Daunhauer played the full 90 minutes in net, stopping seven shots and allowing three goals. The sophomore currently leads all of NCAA Division II with 100 saves on the year.
The Panthers remain on the road next week, traveling to Ohio to rematch both Ohio Dominican and Cedarville. Wesleyan defeated Ohio Dominican 3-2 in overtime in late September.
