PHILIPPI, W. Va. - The Kentucky Wesleyan College men's soccer team suffered a 3-0 setback on Thursday night against Alderson Broaddus University in Great Midwest Athletic Conference action.
The Battlers netted their first goal in the 34th minute to take a 1-0 lead, a score that would remain until halftime. They quickly extended their lead in the second half, scoring in the 46th minute. Their third and final goal was scored moments after a corner kick in the 68th minute.
Wesleyan was able to get off five shots in the second half but was unable to find the back of the net.Â
Jake Peveler led the attack with three shots.
Lucas Daunhauer played the full 90 minutes in net, recording six saves and allowing three goals.
The Panthers return to action on Saturday, taking on the Fights Scots of Ohio Valley University in Vienna, W. Va.
