Men's Soccer Battles No. 6 Lake Erie

OWENSBORO, Ky. – The Kentucky Wesleyan College men's soccer team went toe-to-toe with nationally-ranked No. 6 Lake Erie College on Sunday afternoon, falling 2-1 in Great Midwest Athletic Conference action.

The Panthers move to 4-6 on the season and 2-5 in G-MAC play while the Storm remain undefeated at 12-0 and a perfect 8-0 in the conference.

Lake Erie took an early 1-0 lead after netting their first goal in the fifth minute of action.  The Storm fired off 10 shots in the first half, but only found the back of the net once.  The 54th minute saw the Storm take a 2-0 lead on a header.

Less than three minutes later Jacob Lensing cut the deficit to one with his first goal of the season after a scramble in front of the net on a corner kick.  It was just the fifth goal that the Storm had given up this season and the first in 239 minutes of action.
