NORTH CANTON, Ohio – The Kentucky Wesleyan College women's soccer team fell to Great Midwest Athletic Conference newcomer Walsh University on Saturday, suffering a 2-0 loss in North Canton, Ohio. The Panthers move to 1-5-0 overall and 1-4-0 in the conference while the Cavaliers remain unbeaten at 7-0-0 over and 4-0-0 in the G-MAC.
Walsh wasted no time getting on the board, scoring in the second minute to take a quick 1-0 lead. The Cavaliers tallied their second goal midway through the second half in the 53rd minute.
Kentucky Wesleyan earned three corner kicks throughout the goal but were unable to convert.
Madisyn Hunt led the Panthers with three shots, two of which were on goal.
Sidney Pruitt,
Skylar Walden and
Kelsey Humphries each tallied on shot.
Taylor Rentchler played all 90 minutes in goal, stopping eight shots while allowing two goals.
The Panthers remain on the road next week as they head to Cedarville University on Sept. 28 followed by Ohio Valley on Sept. 30.
