A goal from the captain Gary McMeekin in the 76th minute led Kentucky Wesleyan men's soccer to a 2-1 victory over Harris-Stowe.
"It was a hard-fought game," said head coach
John Fusco. "The one thing I talked to the guys about was make sure we get our points on the road and to get a result one way or another. They fought through and had some really good set pieces that we have been working on. The boys fought hard and got the result in the end."
KWC trailed early, after allowing a goal in the 24th minute, but tied the game four minutes later on a goal by
Blake Cobb on an assist from McMeekin.
The Panthers went into the half tied at one, but McMeekin's goal gave them the win 2-1.
KWC travels to Nashville, Tenn. on Saturday to face Trevecca in a G-MAC contest.
