Kentucky Wesleyan baseball lost two to Wisconsin-Parkside, 8-1 and 4-1, in Great Lakes Valley Conference action on Saturday afternoon at Panther Park.
In the opener, Wisconsin-Parkside started with two runs in the first and second innings, one in the third and three in the sixth for a 8-0 lead before KWC responded.
Jon Wandling hit a RBI single in the sixth to score
Sean Embry for the Panthers only run.
Randy Villa and
Luis Mila collected two hits each for four of KWC's five.
Tim Steed gave up five runs in three innings pitched while striking out five in the loss.
Wes Ward finished the final six innings with three runs and three strikeouts.
The second contest saw the Rangers jumped out to a 4-0 margin with one in the first, two in the third and one in the sixth.
KWC scored in the bottom of the seventh when
Nathan Hedgepath knocked in
Jordan White on a groundout to second.
White recorded two of the Panthers six hits and Wandling had one double.
Tyler Edge produced seven strikeouts in six innings to receive the loss.
Colton Slank closed the last inning with one strikeout and no runs.
The Panthers (15-24, 8-18 GLVC) close the four-game series on Sunday at noon.
