Lucas Woodford came to Kentucky Wesleyan College to serve as an Assistant Soccer Coach in the fall of 2020. He will provide instruction and develop training efforts for both the women’s soccer program.

Woodford comes to Wesleyan after a five season as a soccer coach, most recently serving Indiana Fire Juniors South, a Chicago Fire affiliated club. Woodford worked with both boys and girls U14, U17 and U18 from 2016 to 2020. In 2016, Woodford also served as an assistant coach with the University of Southern Indiana men’s soccer team.

Before his coaching career was established, Woodford worked for the Evansville Icemen hockey team from 2013 to 2016. He handled a variety of game-day operations including pre-gram, intermission, and post-game activities.

Woodford attended and played 70 games for Southern Indiana during his collegiate career. He was a sound defended form 20012-2016, earning Academic All-GLVC honors in each season while receiving All-GLVC honors in 2012. Woodford served as captain for teh Screaming Eagles from 2013-2015.

In 2016 Woodford earned Bachelors in Sport Management with a minor in Marketing. In 2018 he completed work on his Maters in Sports Management.
