OWENSBORO, Ky. – Kentucky Wesleyan Football (0-4, 0-2 G-MAC) fell to Tiffin (3-1, 2-0) 13-48 Saturday at Steele Stadium. Kentucky Wesleyan finished with 104 yards of total offense.
Tyler Thompson completed 13 of 25 passes for 99 yards, while
Dominick Hollis led the Panthers with 19 rushing yards on 12 carries.
Josh Noble led Kentucky Wesleyan with 10 tackles, including three tackles for a loss and a sack.
Tiffin scored twice in the opening quarter to take a 14-0 lead. Kentucky Wesleyan answered late in the quarter when
Braylon Hill returned a blocked punt 25 yards for a touchdown after
Braylon Moss blocked the punt.
Maston Joyner added the extra point to cut the deficit to 14-7.
The Dragons responded with four touchdowns and a field goal in the second quarter to take control of the game. Tiffin's DaVontez Lewis returned an interception for a touchdown, while Kyle Antoine added a rushing touchdown and threw a 10-yard touchdown pass to Josiah Raber. Ben Rudolph also connected on a 20-yard field goal.
Joyner gave the Panthers three points just before halftime, connecting on a 30-yard field goal to send Kentucky Wesleyan into the break trailing 38-10.
Tiffin added a 37-yard field goal from Rudolph and a 4-yard touchdown run by Isaac Bunts in the third quarter to extend its lead to 48-10.
Joyner connected on a 23-yard field goal with 11:05 remaining in the fourth quarter to account for the Panthers' final points.
