INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Kentucky Wesleyan men's basketball program had two student-athletes earn Great Midwest All-Conference honors for the 2025-26 season.
Senior big man Fatih Huyuk was named to the first team and junior point guard Jorge Sanchez-Ramos was named to the second team.
Huyuk, a native of Hatay, Turkey, averaged 13.0 points and 6.7 rebounds per game, both team-highs for the Panthers. He also shot an impressive 56% from the field.
The big man was named G-MAC Athlete of the Week twice this year and scored a season-high 28 points versus Illinois-Springfield in December. Huyuk scored 15+ points in 10 games and tallied four double-doubles in 2025-26.
Huyuk finished the year inside the top 15 in points per game and inside the top seven in rebounds per game across the conference.
Sanchez-Ramos, a native of Madrid, Spain, averaged 12.4 points and 5.3 assists per game, with the latter being the team-high. He added a team-high 62 free throws on the year.
The guard was named G-MAC Athlete of the Week after a two-game stretch in January in which he averaged 10.0 points, 9.0 assists, and recorded an 18/1 assist-to-turnover ratio. He recorded 6+ assists in 15 games and 15+ points in 13 games, including in the final six of the regular season.
His assist per game average was the best in the conference and put him in the top 25 nationally. He also finished the campaign in the top 20 in points per game in the G-MAC.
