CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. – The Kentucky Wesleyan men's and women's tennis teams suffered defeats versus Thomas More on Saturday.
The Kentucky Wesleyan men put up a competitive fight in their 6-1 loss to the Saints.
TMU earned the doubles point before singles play got underway. Thomas More prevailed on Courts 2, 3, and 6 quickly to clinch the match, but the Panthers weren't going to lay down.
Jose Ferrandis claimed a 6-3, 2-6, 7-5 triumph on Court 1 to get Wesleyan on the board, but both Adryan Tayloe (Court 4) and Kade Eber (Court 6) could not prevail in their three-set matches.
The Kentucky Wesleyan women fell 7-0 in their match against TMU.
The Saints prevailed on all three doubles courts before taking all six singles courts in straight sets.
Both teams are back in action next Saturday, April 3rd, in Owensboro. The men will take on 20th-ranked Tiffin and the women will battle 44th-ranked Tiffin each at 2:00 PM.
