OWENSBORO, Ky. – Below is your preview of Wesleyan Athletics for the week of March 23-29.
Men's Golf
The Kentucky Wesleyan men's golf team is competing in the Findlay Spring Invitational today and tomorrow in Richmond, Kentucky, at Boones Trace National Golf Club.
The team is looking to continue their momentum after finishing third in the Saddlebrook Spring Kickoff their last time out. Braydon Bond finished T-5th in that event to lead the Panthers' effort.
Softball
The Kentucky Wesleyan softball team is finally set to host their home opener at Foster Field this Saturday, March 28th. The Panthers will take on Walsh in a doubleheader beginning at 12:00 PM live on FloCollege.
KWC is looking to turn the page from their G-MAC opening stretch last weekend. The Panthers fell to Malone and Ashland in Ohio but will look to get in the winning column in the conference this weekend.
Baseball
The Kentucky Wesleyan baseball team will be back at Panther Park this weekend for a four-game set against the Tiffin Dragons. The two teams will play doubleheaders on both Saturday and Sunday beginning at 12:00 PM, and all four games will be streamed live on FloCollege.
These Panthers are also looking to turn the page after getting swept by the Oilers in Findlay, Ohio. Wesleyan has begun conference play 2-6 this season and now has an uphill climb to continue their streak of postseason appearances.
Tennis
The Kentucky Wesleyan men's and women's tennis teams are headed to Crestview Hills, Kentucky, on Saturday to battle in-state rival Thomas More at 3:00 PM.
The women's tennis team defeated Ursuline 7-0 last Saturday. Each of Kameron Knight, Anna Bongardt, Angela Ho, Ella Brown, Baylie McCreary, and Sara Osorio earned singles victories.
