CANTON, OH – The Kentucky Wesleyan College softball team dropped a pair of games to Malone University on Saturday morning. Game one started at 8AM central time as the Pioneers took advantage of the early wake-up call for the Panthers with an 8-0 win. Malone  won game two 13-0
 
Riley Cunningham posted two scoreless innings to start the day, but the Pioneers (11-6, 1-0 G-MAC) took advantage in the bottom of the third scoring one run on a single up the middle. 
 
Malone added three runs in the fourth and four in the fifth to distance the Panthers. Lauren Pellerito recorded the lone hit for the Panthers on the day. 
 
In game two, the Pioneers jumped on the Panthers early scoring seven runs in the bottom of the first. A fielding error allowed the first run to score and Malone took advantage of the miscue to build a comfortable lead they carried the rest of the way. Paige Crain hit a double in the loss, going one for two on the day.  
 
The Panthers will travel to Ashland, Ohio on Sunday for a pair of games as G-MAC play continues. First pitch against the Eagles is scheduled for 11AM CT.
