Marion, Ill. – The Kentucky Wesleyan softball team fell to Parkside by a score of 10-1 in their final game at the Oasis Collegiate Classic Sunday morning.
The Panthers scored their lone run in the bottom of the first. Kennedy Matheis grounded out to drive in Riley Cunningham, but that was all the offense Wesleyan could muster.
Parkside scored two in the first, three in the second, one in the third, one in the fourth, and three in the fifth to win in six innings.
Each of Cunningham, Bailey Markus, Chloe Apple, Paige Crain, Hannah Beasley, and Lauren Pellerito recorded a hit in the game.
The Panthers are next set to battle Kentucky State in a doubleheader on Saturday, March 7th. First pitch is set for 12:00 PM in Frankfort, Kentucky.
