OWENSBORO, Ky. – Below is your preview of Wesleyan Athletics for the week of February 23 – March 1.
Softball
The Kentucky Wesleyan softball team heads to the Oasis Division II Collegiate Classic in Marion, Illinois, for five games from Friday-Sunday. The Panthers will battle Ferris State and Lincoln on Friday, McKendree and Purdue Northwest on Saturday, and Parkside on Sunday.
The Panthers' Kennedy Matheis was named G-MAC Athlete of the Week last Monday after her two game-winning home runs the previous Saturday against Shorter.
Baseball
The Kentucky Wesleyan baseball team hosts Purdue Northwest for a four-game set this weekend. First pitch of the series will be at 12:00 PM on Friday at Panther Park. All games will be streamed live on FloCollege.
Wesleyan won their series last weekend over Southwest Baptist, taking two of the three games. Evan Oakley struck out 10 in seven scoreless innings in game one and Baron Ratliff scored the walk-off run on a wild pitch in game three.
Women's Basketball
The Kentucky Wesleyan women's basketball team welcomes Thomas More for their final home game of the season on Saturday at 12:00 PM. The contest will be played on the campus of KWC inside Jones Gym and fans can watch live on FloCollege or listen on 94.7 WBIO.
Wesleyan is looking to put last week behind them in their pursuit of a Great Midwest Tournament spot. The Panthers are currently 10-9 in the conference and hold the eight seed with a 1.5-game advantage over Ohio Dominican (two games left) in the nine spot.
Men's Basketball
The Kentucky Wesleyan men's basketball team also welcomes Thomas More for their final home game of 2026 on Saturday. Tipoff is set for 2:15 PM inside Jones Gym and fans can watch live on FloCollege or listen on 94.7 WBIO.
Like the women, the men are also fighting for a spot in the Great Midwest Tournament. The Panthers sit at 9-10 in the conference and hold their own 1.5-game lead over the three teams behind them at 7-11, who all have two games left to play.
Additionally, head coach Drew Cooper's final radio show of the year is tonight at 6:00 PM inside the Owensboro Country Club. Fans can listen live on 94.7 WBIO.
Wrestling
The Kentucky Wesleyan wrestling team is set to hit the road for the final event of their season on Sunday. The Panthers will compete in the Division II Super Regional IV Championships beginning at 10:00 AM. Fans can watch the entirety of the event on FloWrestling.
