OWENSBORO, Ky. – Kennedy Matheis has been named the G-MAC Softball Player of the Week after an incredible day in the Panthers' doubleheader sweep last Saturday.
In those two wins over Shorter College, Matheis went 4-7 with a double, two home runs, five RBIs, four runs scored, and a walk. She had the game-winning hit in both games, including a top of the seventh two-run home run in game one and a walk-off three-run home run in game two.
The senior currently sits in first in the conference in RBIs (9), T-1st in home runs (2), second in total bases (17), and T-2nd in walks (5).
Matheis and the Panthers have a week off from game action before next heading to the Oasis Sports Division II Tournament in Marion, Illinois, for five games from February 27th – March 1st.
