OWENSBORO, KY – The Kentucky Wesleyan women's basketball team (10-3, 6-1 G-MAC) picked up an easy 68-44 victory against Hillsdale College (7-4, 3-2 G-MAC) on Thursday evening.

After the Chargers rushed out to a 6-0 lead, the Panthers responded with an 11-0 run led by three Georgia Acompanado buckets. Riley Neal sank two three-pointers in 44 seconds to give Wesleyan a 21-14 first quarter lead. The Panthers shot 80% (4/5) from behind the arc in the first period.

A layup made by Iratxe Amorrortu Sainz kickstarted an 8-0 run that gave KWC a 12-point lead halfway through the second quarter. Myah Montgomery and Acompanado converted two layups each to finish the half with a 37-25 lead.

The Panthers owned the third quarter, outscored the Chargers 20-8. Neal continued her great shooting performance, knocking down her third three-pointer of the game. Myah Montgomery closed the third with a made triple to extend the lead to 26.

Her sister, Avah Montgomery, opened the fourth quarter with a triple of her own. Neal's layup with 7:35 remaining extended the lead to a game-high 29 points. Wesleyan grinded out the remainder of the final quarter to come away with the 24-point conference victory.

Neal led the way with a game-high 15 points, five rebounds, and four assists. Myah Montgomery finished with 14 points. Acompanado recorded an efficient 12 points (6/9), four steals, and three assists. Freshman guard Avah Montgomery went 2/2 from beyond the arc.
