Owensboro, Ky. – Evan Oakley has been named the ABCA/Rawlings Midwest Region Pitcher of the Year as announced on Wednesday morning.

Previously, Oakley was also named the Great Midwest Pitcher of the Year and earned All-Region First Team honors from the D2CCA and the NCBWA.

The righty ace pitched to the tune of a 2.24 ERA and went 8-3 on the season with 95 strikeouts. At the close of the regular season, the Gilbertsville, Kentucky native led the G-MAC in ERA, innings pitched, and wins.

Oakley will now be up for ABCA/Rawlings All-American consideration, with those teams set to be announced on Friday, May 30.
