Owensboro, Ky. – Isaac Rose has been named the G-MAC South Division Pitcher of the Week after his six-inning, two-hit shutout of Cedarville last Friday, April 18.

This is the second time this season Rose has been honored with this recognition. Rose was first named Pitcher of the Week back on March 24 after a career-high 11 strikeouts in a shutout of Tiffin.

This time, Rose pitched six innings and struck out six Yellow Jackets while shutting out Cedarville in the Panthers' 1-0 victory. The lefty has now gone six straight outings with at least five innings pitched and three or less earned runs allowed.

For the season, the senior now has a 3.16 ERA and a 5-1 record across nine starts with 57 total strikeouts. Rose sits in fourth in the G-MAC in ERA, is tied for fourth in wins, and is fifth in strikeouts. He's also only walked seven batters, which puts him atop the conference in that category.

This is the sixth overall recognition for the Kentucky Wesleyan baseball program this season, with Evan Oakley (twice as well) and Jase Mizell being recognized earlier this year.

In total, Kentucky Wesleyan Athletics has now had 17 G-MAC Athletes of the Week during the 2024-25 academic year.

Wesleyan is back at Panther Park this weekend for their final home series of the season, set to take on Walsh in a four-game set. Senior Day is Sunday, April 27, with seniors being honored after the doubleheader that day.
