Box Score 2 Owensboro, Ky. – The Kentucky Wesleyan men's and women's tennis team completed play against Hillsdale in their home opener on Saturday afternoon.
The men's team was defeated by a score of 6-1 and the women's team fell 7-0 to the Chargers.
José Ferrandis earned the lone point for the Panthers, prevailing 4-6, 6-2, 10-5 in a hard-fought battle on Court 2 in the men's match.
Adryan Taylor had a formidable showing on Court 1, eventually falling 1-6, 6-7 (6-8). The other four men's courts also went just two sets.
On the women's side, Hillsdale had control all afternoon and never even dropped a game in their victory.
The Panthers have another opportunity tomorrow at home, set to battle Northwood beginning at 9:00 AM tomorrow, Sunday, March 23.
