OWENSBORO, Ky. – Armandas Plintauskas has been named the Great Midwest Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week for his play across the Panthers' two conference victories last week.
First, in Wesleyan's 72-65 victory over Ashland, Plintauskas scored 13 points, grabbed eight rebounds, and added two steals. The Lithuania native also shot 3-7 from the three-point line.
The senior followed with 17 points and four rebounds on 5-9 shooting overall and 3-5 from outside the arc in the Panthers' 75-65 victory over Tiffin.
For the season, Plintauskas is averaging 11.1 points and 4.4 rebounds while starting all ten games thus far.
The Panthers return to the Owensboro Sportscenter for two games this week, starting with a contest versus Illinois Springfield on Wednesday, December 17, at 6:00 PM.
