Owensboro, Ky. - Below is your weekly preview of Wesleyan Athletics. Eight programs are in action as part of a busy fall stretch for the Panthers.
Women's Golf
The Kentucky Wesleyan women's golf team is playing in the final round of their home tournament, the Bill Crabtree Invitational, today. Freshman
Lucia Perez led the way for the Panthers in round one, currently sitting in 7th overall after an opening 75.
Wesleyan will next head to the Davenport Panther Invitational on Saturday, October 11, as their fall slate continues.
Football
The
Tyrone Young Radio Show continues with its third edition tonight at 6:00 PM at the Owensboro Country Club. If you can't make it in person, be sure to tune in live on 94.7 WBIO.
The Kentucky Wesleyan football team is back at Steele Stadium this Saturday, October 11th, for another G-MAC matchup versus the Panthers of Ohio Dominican.
Jalon Baker has continued to stand out defensively, racking up 12 tackles and an interception in last weekend's affair.
Women's Soccer
The Kentucky Wesleyan women's soccer team is set to battle Ursuline this Thursday, October 9th, at 5:00 PM at Panther Field. Wesleyan is coming off a 2-2 tie versus Ohio Dominican last weekend, their second tie of 2025.
Haylie Panter and
Anna Klueh each recorded one of the two goals, with the latter's being the first of her career.
Men's Soccer
The Kentucky Wesleyan men's soccer team is hosting Lake Erie this Thursday, October 9th, at 7:30 PM at Panther Field. The Panthers had a very successful previous week, defeating Malone 3-0 and working a 2-2 draw versus Ohio Dominican. Across those two matches,
Haakon Torvbraaten registered two goals and an assist for a total of five points.
Volleyball
The Kentucky Wesleyan volleyball team is on the road for an in-state rivalry match at Thomas More on Saturday, October 11th. Freshman
Emmy Goering was the highlight in the Panthers' two matches last week, racking up 19 kills.
Men's Golf
The Kentucky Wesleyan men's golf team is also headed to the Davenport Panther Invitational this Saturday, October 11th. Wesleyan improved round-over-round at their last event, the Midwest Collegiate, and hope to turn that momentum into a successful weekend.
Tennis
The Kentucky Wesleyan men's and women's tennis teams are set to travel for a matchup versus Hanover on Sunday, October 12th.
Kameron Knight and
Adryan Taylor each earned singles victories for their respective teams in the Panthers' matches yesterday versus Transylvania.
