Owensboro, Ky. – The Kentucky Wesleyan football team was defeated 55-0 by the Ashland Eagles Saturday afternoon at Steele Stadium.
Ashland (4-1, 3-0 G-MAC) had firm control for the full 60 minutes, scoring ten points in the first, 28 in the second, ten in the third, and seven in the fourth.
DeMauriah Brown was the offensive highlight, turning just five carries into 29 yards with a long of 27.
Nehemiah Askew was a standout on defense with nine tackles, five solo and four assisted. Jalon Baker was right behind him with eight tackles, four solo and four assisted, and an interception. Jahiem Williams added an interception as well.
Wesleyan is back at home next Saturday, October 11, for a matchup versus the Panthers of Ohio Dominican. Kickoff is set for 12:00 PM and the game will be streamed live on FloCollege.
