Owensboro, Ky. – The Kentucky Wesleyan football team was defeated 55-0 by the Ashland Eagles Saturday afternoon at Steele Stadium.
Ashland (4-1, 3-0 G-MAC) had firm control for the full 60 minutes, scoring ten points in the first, 28 in the second, ten in the third, and seven in the fourth.
DeMauriah Brown was a positive on offense, turning just five carries into 29 yards with a long of 27.
Jalon Baker was the defensive standout once again with 12 tackles, seven solo and five assisted, on top of 2.5 tackles for loss and an interception. Nehemiah Askew had a strong day with nine tackles, five solo and four assisted. Jahiem Williams added an interception as well.
Wesleyan is back at home next Saturday, October 11, for a matchup versus the Panthers of Ohio Dominican. Kickoff is set for 12:00 PM and the game will be streamed live on FloCollege.
