Columbus, Ohio – The Kentucky Wesleyan football team lost their third straight game on Saturday, falling by the score of 38-7 on the road against Ohio Dominican.
The Panthers got on the board first, as first-time starter Aden Hooper led an 11-play, 96-yard drive capped off by a Hooper touchdown run to put Wesleyan in front at 7-0.
From there, it was all Ohio Dominican. ODU controlled the second quarter, tallying two touchdowns and taking a 14-7 lead into halftime.
Coming out of the break, Ohio Dominican kept their foot on the gas as the home team scored 21 points in the third quarter to build a commanding 35-7 lead. ODU added a field goal in the final frame on their way to finalizing the 38-7 win.
Hooper went 19-27 for 172 yards in the loss. Both Sherrard's led the way on the receiving end, with Khia Sherrard recording four catches for 66 yards and Kam Sherrard tallying four catches for 64 yards. On the ground, Brandon Mackey had 15 rushes for 52 yards.
Defensively, Jhor'dan Inniss had a team-high six tackles while Kajuan Hardesty and Kelton Farmer each had five tackles. Jalon Baker had two pass breakups and added three tackles.
Wesleyan is back at home this weekend for a battle with Findlay. Kickoff is set for 1 PM at Steele Stadium as the Panthers celebrate Military/First Responders Appreciation Night.
