OWENSBORO, KY - It wasn't Wesleyan's day on Saturday, as they fell 2-0 and 8-0 to the visiting Malone Pioneers.
Malone improves to 20-8 (6-4 G-MAC), while Wesleyan falls to 15-19 (6-8 G-MAC).
The Panthers managed to notch ten hits over the course of two games, but they failed to get any of those runners home. The closest they came was in the fourth inning of game two, as the Panther's loaded the bases with no outs. Malone managed to get a shallow flyout, then a double play to get out of the jam.
Over the course of two games,
Chloe Apple went 2-for-5, while
Cam Mann was 2-for-3 in the opener.
Chloe Williams (6-5) struck out seven in the game one loss, while
Kristyn Murphy (4-6) struck out a career high eight in the game two loss.
Wesleyan will look to bounce back tomorrow as they host Walsh at 12 and 2 p.m. CT.
