EVANSVILLE, IN - The Kentucky Wesleyan Softball team dropped their final two games of the Blue Bridge Battle on Sunday, falling 9-2 to Missouri S&T and 9-0 to Missouri-St. Louis.
In the opener, S&T went up 2-0 before a fielders choice allowed
Brooke Brown to score in the third inning. Big fifth and sixth innings from the Miners allowed them to pull away.
Cam Mann hit an RBI single to in the sixth to score Wesleyan's second run.
UMSL scored four runs in both the third and fourth innings of the second game to pull away and win 9-0 in five innings.
For the day,
Chloe Apple went 3-for-6, while
Lauren Pellerito 1-for-2 with a run scored.
The Panther will be back in action next week when they travel to O'Fallon, Illinois, for the McKendree Tournament. The tournament starts up Friday with games against Maryville and McKendree.
