OWENSBORO, KY - The Kentucky Wesleyan Baseball team couldn't quite get it done on Friday, as they fell 9-3 to the Purdue Northwest Pride.
PNW gets their first win of the season as they now sit at 1-0, while Wesleyan drops to 0-8.
Down 2-0 in the second inning, Kentucky Wesleyan got their first run of the game on a solo shot from junior
Cade Gudalis, which was then followed by a run scored from
Noah Davis thanks to an RBI from
Braden Vinyard.
Purdue Northwest proceeded to outscore the Panthers 7-1 the rest of the way to secure the six-run victory.
Cade Moore,
Cade Gudalis, and
Noah Davis all recorded a hit for the Panthers, while Gudalis, Vinyard and
Kyle Werries notched RBI's.
Brayden Bush (0-1) struck out six in the loss.
Wesleyan will be back in action tomorrow as they take on the Pride in a doubleheader, with the first game scheduled to start at noon.
