Hillsdale, Mich. – The Kentucky Wesleyan volleyball team was defeated 15-25, 16-25, 21-25 by the Hillsdale Chargers on Friday night.
Wesleyan falls to 0-12 overall and 0-4 in the G-MAC while Hillsdale improves to 9-1 overall and 4-0 in the G-MAC.
The Chargers have now defeated the Panthers in all eleven matches the two teams have played.
On the offensive side of the ball, the Panthers were led by Hadley Wolfe and Grace Carter as both tallied eight kills. The two hitters connected with their setters often, with Julia Kupper and Ana De-Sevilla Acosta recording 14 assists each.
Defensively, Wolfe and Kamryn Parlin led the team with three blocks each. Tessa-Jo Allen had a team-high seven digs, while Kupper and Embry Burgess both added five digs.
Hillsdale had a balanced attack, as four different players recorded five or more kills, and Lauren Passaglia was at the forefront with seven.
Wesleyan's lengthy road trip continues with a battle vs. the Northwood Timberwolves on Saturday, October 5. First serve is set for 4 PM in Midland, Michigan.
