Owensboro, Ky. – The Kentucky Wesleyan volleyball team won the first set for the fourth match in a row but ultimately fell 25-15, 18-25, 20-25, 20-25 to Thomas More on Friday night inside Jones Gym.
Wesleyan falls to 0-19 overall and 0-7 in the G-MAC, while the Saints improve to 11-12 overall and 4-5 in the G-MAC.
The Panthers now trail the all-time series 3-1 since the programs began matching up last season.
In front of a lively crowd, Wesleyan put on an impressive effort in their first home match since September. Tessa Jo-Allen led the way with 13 kills and 13 digs, and Hadley Wolfe was right behind her with 12 kills and two blocks.
Julia Kupper amazed once again with a whopping six aces, a season-high, 19 assists, and 11 digs on the evening. Ana De Sevilla-Acosta had 15 assists, while Embry Burgess added eight assists on top of 15 digs.
The Saints were guided by Emily Acito's eight kills, four aces, and 13 digs.
Wesleyan is back on the court for the second of three consecutive home matches, this time battling Cedarville on November 2. First serve is set for 6 PM inside Jones Gym.
