Hammond, Ind. – The Kentucky Wesleyan volleyball team, just like in their first two matches of The Crossover, won the first set but failed to win another as the Panthers fell 26-24, 20-25, 22-25, 18-25 to Saginaw Valley State on Saturday morning.
Wesleyan falls to 0-18 this season, while Saginaw Valley State improves to 4-15 in 2024.
The match was also the first in history between the two out-of-conference foes.
Julia Kupper continued her dominance on both sides of the ball, tallying eight kills, 15 assists, two blocks, and seven digs.
Hadley Wolfe had a team-high nine kills on top of two blocks, and Tessa Jo-Allen recorded six kills to go along with eight digs.
Embry Burgess impressed as well, totaling 17 digs and three aces. Ana De Sevilla-Acosta landed three aces as well for the Panthers.
Wesleyan will return home for Homecoming next week, set to battle the Thomas More Saints on October 25. First serve is set for 6:00 PM inside the Woodward Health and Recreation Center.
