Hammond, Ind. – The Kentucky Wesleyan volleyball team tallied a set win but ultimately fell 12-25, 25-20, 20-25, 18-25 on Friday afternoon against Truman State in the first of three matches at The Crossover.
Wesleyan falls to 0-16 overall and 0-7 in the G-MAC, while Truman State improves to 2-16 overall and 1-4 in the GLVC.
Julia Kupper led the way in all facets today, tallying a triple-double with 10 kills, 16 assists, and 14 digs.
When Kupper wasn't recording kills herself, she was connecting with Tessa Jo-Allen often as the senior totaled 10 kills while adding 10 digs.
Ana De Sevilla-Acosta had an impressive day with career highs in aces, with four, and assists, with 16.
Gracie Newton had a team-high three blocks at the net, and Hadley Wolfe and Kamryn Parlin logged two blocks each.
The Panthers get a quick chance to bounce back with a battle vs. Southwest Baptist at 4:30 PM today as The Crossover rolls on.
