OWENSBORO, KY - The early season struggles continued for the Panthers tonight, as they dropped their opening game in Florida 13-4 to the Florida Southern Mocs.
With the win the Mocs move to 8-6, while the Panthers fall to 0-7.
Tied a two in the second inning, FSC used a big five-run bottom of the second to pull away from the Panthers. KWC scored a run in both the sixth and seventh inning to attempt a comeback, but the Mocs answered with a three-run bottom of the seventh to put the game away.
Kyle Werries went 3-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored.
Ben Wilcoxson added an RBI while
Jaret Humphrey scored two runs of his own.
Nolan Johnson (0-1) took the loss for the Panthers.
Wesleyan will look for redemption tomorrow when they face Florida Southern at 5 p.m. CT.
