SMYRNA, TN - Kentucky Wesleyan softball struggled on Saturday, falling 8-0 in their opener to Southern Indiana and 6-0 in their late game against Missouri S&T.
Game One
Southern Indiana (6-4) used three runs in the third and fifth innings to take down Wesleyan 8-0 in five innings. KWC notched five hits against the Screaming Eagles, but they left five on base in the loss.
Lacie Mills went 2-for-2 while
Meryck Hardley,
Calysta Crum, and
Sarah Linville each tallied a hit.
Cameron Hamilton (0-3) took the loss for the Panthers.
Game Two
Kentucky Wesleyan (1-9) was only able to nab three hits in a 6-0 loss to the Miners of Missouri S&T (3-1). Two of those hits came from freshman
Sarah Linville, who went 2-for-3 with two singles.
Mary Morgan (1-3) struck out three in the loss.
The Panthers will be back for their final day at the Music City Invitational tomorrow when they play Rockhurst at 11 a.m. and McKendree at 1 p.m.
