OWENSBORO, Ky. - The Kentucky Wesleyan Men's Basketball team has been honored by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) for their work in the classroom throughout the 2020-21 season. The team was awarded with the Team Academic Excellence Award, while seven individuals were named to the NABC Honors Court.
To qualify for the Team Academic Excellence Award, a team had to have a cumulative GPA of above a 3.0 for the 2020-21 school year. KWC was one of only three G-MAC programs to receive this honor.
To qualify for the NABC Honors Court a student must be a junior or senior academically, have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher, be a part of the varsity team and have completed at least one year at their current institution. An impressive seven players were named to the 2020-21 Honors Court for the Panthers.
