OWENSBORO, Ky. - Senior standout
Devin Smith added another award to his already impressive resume today as he was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District team. The Teutopolis, Illinois native had a 3.81 GPA on the year while majoring in Business Marketing/Communications.
Smith was a First-Team All-GMAC performer this year, finishing with a 4-1 record with 69 strikeouts and a 3.39 ERA. Smith closed his KWC career out with a dominant 11 strikeout performance against Tiffin in the first round of the conference tournament. He finished his storied career with a 14-2 record to go along with a 2.81 ERA.
Academic All-District teams are selected by CoSIDA and recognize the nation's stop student-athletes for their combined performances in academics and athletics. The CoSIDA Academic All-District teams include the student-athletes listed in the links above and are divided into geographical districts across the United States and Canada. The NCAA Division II Academic All-America Teams will be announced on July 28 on the CoSIDA website.
