CHARLESTON, W. Va -- The Kentucky Wesleyan College women's soccer team traveled to West Virginia to take on the Fighting Scots of Ohio Valley. The Panthers would lose a heart breaker in overtime 3-2.

The Panthers (2-4-1) would strike first, in the 41st minute.
Madisyn Hunt would score her third goal of the season. The Panthers would take that 1-0 lead into the intermission.

After the intermission Wesleyan would get back on the board with a goal by
Chloe Hinchcliffe in the 61st minute, on the assist by
Madisyn Hunt. The goals stands as Hinchcliffe's third of the season.

From that point on the Fighting Scots (5-4-1) would claw back and get their first goal in the 72nd minute on a goal by Ylenia Cirricinione, her first of the season. Just four minutes later the Fighting Scots would tie the game on a goal by Manuela Filipe, her third of the year. Regulation would end in a 2-2 tie, heading into the overtime period.

In the overtime period the Fighting Scots wasted no time in sealing this one, as Ximena Jauregui would score in the 91st minute to give Ohio Valley the victory.

Kentucky Wesleyan was led in shots by
Madisyn Hunt with five and
Chloe Hinchcliffe with two.
Reegan Garrity put in an excellent effort making 12 out of 15 saves, as the Ohio Valley attack was furious as they attempted 26 shots, 15 on goal.Â

The Panthers will return home on Monday, April 19th as the University of Findlay will travel to Owensboro to take on the Panther at 7 PM CT.
