OWENSBORO, Ky. – The Kentucky Wesleyan men's tennis team suffered a 5-0 defeat to Walsh University. The Panthers returned to Great Midwest action a wet Saturday morning.
Rainfall covered the courts at Moreland Park on Saturday morning as the match was moved inside to Centre Court. The Cavaliers (7-7, 3-0 GMAC) took the doubles point by winning the number two and three matches. The number one match with
John Thomas Hayden and Even Morton went unfinished with the Cavs leading 4-2.
Hayden dropped the number one singles match 6-0, 6-3.
Wesley Matthews lost at number two singles 6-2, 6-0 before Walsh collected the clinching point.
The Panthers will travel to Cedarville on Tuesday for a match with Cedarville. The contest is scheduled to start at 10 AM CT.
