cOWENSBORO- The Kentucky Wesleyan women's soccer team fell to visiting Ohio Dominican Wednesday evening, with Wesleyan falling 5-0 in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference battle of the Panthers.
Ohio Domincan (3-0-1) struck first, with Bailey Sedlak notching the match's first goal at the 35:26 mark. Sedlak put the visitors ahead on an unassisted score, with the 1-0 ODU lead holding through the halftime break.
ODU added to its lead early in the second half, with Samantha Buck scoring just less than four minutes into the period on an assist from Callan Myers. Just more than 10 minutes later, Myers would put Ohio Dominican up 4-0 with a pair of goals in the span of less than two minutes.
Sedlak added the final ODU score in the 78th minute to push the final match score to 5-0 in favor of the visitors.
Chloe Hinchcliffe led the Kentucky Wesleyan offense with three shots, one on goal, while
Bree Owen and
Madisyn Hunt both chipped in two shots each.
