OWENSBORO, Ky. – For the eighth straight season the Kentucky Wesleyan College women's basketball team has earned a berth in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Championship tournament. The Panthers are slotted as the No. 2 seed and will host the No. 7 seed Trevecca Nazarene in the first round. Tip off is set for 5:30 pm CT at The Owensboro Sportscenter.

COVID-19 PROTOCOLS
Due to the ongoing pandemic, a limited capacity of 15% will be permitted (750 spectators). Spectators are expected to wear a face mask that covers both the nose and mouth at all times except when actively eating or drinking. Fixed seating allows for appropriate distancing between groups. Seats will be available in blocks of 1-6 seats. Unavailable seats will be clearly marked and sitting in those seats will not be permitted.

SERIES HISTORY
The Panthers hold the series lead at 13-5 since their first meeting in November 2012. Wesleyan has won the last nine meetings and is 7-1 when the Trojans visit The Sportscenter. The two teams have met in the postseason twice before with the Panthers winning both match ups. Wesleyan defeated Trevecca in the 2013-14 G-MAC Championship and the 2014-15 G-MAC semifinal.
LAST MEETING
Due to game cancellations surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, the Panthers have not faced the Trojans yet this season. Their last meeting came on Feb. 22, 2020 in Nashville with the Panthers winning 78-41. Kaylee Clifford and Jordyn Barga both scored in double figures as Wesleyan posted their 25th win of the season, the most in school history.
SCOUTING THE PANTHERS
Wesleyan earned the No. 2 seed in this year's G-MAC tournament with an overall record of 16-4. The Panthers has won 12 of their last 13 games while posting a 7-1 record at home this season. This year's squad has the second best offense in the league, averaging 81.9 points per game, along with the third best defense, holding opponents to 68.8 points per game. The Panthers sit atop the G-MAC with a blistering 46.4 shooting percentage on the year.
Tahlia Walton and Kaylee Clifford are both averaging double figures this season in 12.3 and 10.6 points per game respectively. Clifford also paces the team with 5.9 rebounds per game as well as 20 blocks and 31 steals on the year. Lily Miller has dished out a team-high 80 assists.
SCOUTING THE TROJANS
Despite only playing 11 games this season, the Trojans snuck into the G-MAC Tournament as the No. 7 seed with a record of 6-5. Trevecca played back-to-back games this past week after not seeing the court for 11 days. The Trojans are averaging 72.4 points per game while sitting atop the G-MAC with a free throw percentage of 77.6 (149-for-192) on the year.
Keeley Carter is averaging 16.0 points per game, a mark good for seventh in the conference. Faith Wilken is right behind at 15.2 points per game.
