HAMMOND, IN - The Kentucky Wesleyan Volleyball Team dropped both their matches at the Midwest Crossover on Saturday. In their opener they fell 3-0 (25-21, 25-18, 25-22) to Illinois-Springfield (7-12, 5-4 GLCV), before closing out the tournament with a 3-0 (25-15, 25-13, 25-19) loss to Davenport (11-9, 3-5 GLIAC).
Lilly Trump led the way with 23 kills over the course of the two games, followed by
Diana Wesolosky (15) and
Nicole Martin (4).
Julia Kupper tallied 29 total assists while
Carlee Widmer was close behind with 23.
Maggie Vincent led the way with 22 digs.
Widmer and Wesolosky combined for 20 aces over the course of three games, good for second by any pair of teammates in the entire tournament.
The Panthers will be back home Friday night as they take on the Pioneers of Malone in Jones Gym at 7:00 p.m.
