ASHLAND, OH - Ashland used four second half goals to pull away from Kentucky Wesleyan on Thursday night and take their game by a 5-1 score.
With the win the Eagles move to 9-1-2 (8-0-1) while Wesleyan falls to 3-8 (0-7 G-MAC).Â
Ashland got on the board first, scoring a goal in the opening 10 minutes of play to go up 1-0.
Natalie Hinchcliffe answered back 11 minutes later with her third goal of the season, assisted by her sister
Chloe Hinchcliffe.Â
Ashland picked up the pace in the second half, scoring four goals on 18 shots to take the game 5-1.
Natalie Hinchcliffe led the Panthers with 6 shots, followed closely by
Madisyn Hunt (5).
Chloe Hinchcliffe's assist was her fourth of the season and is now tied with
Natalie Hinchcliffe for the team lead in that category.
Reegan Garrity made 12 saves in the match.
Ashland led the way in both shots (43-14) and shots-on-goal (20-4). KWC made 15 total saves in the match, compared to just three for Ashland.
The Panthers will face Walsh for the second time this week on Saturday, with kickoff set for 4 PM CT in North Canton, OH.
