OWENSBORO, KY - The Panthers were not able to snap Ashland's five game winning streak on Friday night and fell to the Eagles in straight sets.
With the win Ashland moves to 7-7 (6-0 G-MAC) while the Panthers fall to 2-12 (0-6 G-MAC).
After an opening set that saw Wesleyan fall 25-10, the Panthers kept it close in the final two sets before falling 25-22 and 25-21.
As she has in many matches this year,
Nicole Martin led the way with 11 kills, followed by
Ava Rebarchik (6) and
Madelyn Hoskins (4).
Karrah Cron led the Panthers in both assists (23) and digs (13) while
Danielle Nelson tallied 12 digs of her own.
KWC turns right around as they face Tiffin tomorrow at 1 p.m. in Jones Gym.
