OWENSBORO, Ky. – Following their first national ranking in program history, the No. 24 Kentucky Wesleyan women's basketball team continued their winning ways with a 79-65 Great Midwest Athletic Conference win over the University of Findlay.  The victory marks the Panthers 31st straight win at The Sportscenter for the longest home win streak in program history.
Wesleyan's (22-1, 13-1 G-MAC) offense struggled in the first quarter, shooting 3-for-11 (27.3%) but managed to take a 19-12 lead after one.  With 3:31 remaining in the second, Lily Skye Grimes drained a three to give the Panthers their first double digit lead of the game.
Emma Johnson knocked back a three in the final 15 seconds to give Wesleyan a 37-28 lead at the half.  The Panthers never lost their double digit lead from there, leading by as much as 24 late in the fourth quarter.
Johnson paced the team with 17 points, shooting 5-for-10 from beyond the arc.  Leah Richardson and Cali Nolot also scored in double figures with 13 and 10 respectively.
Keelie Lamb flirted with a double-double, scoring nine and grabbing a team-high 10 rebounds.  Leah Richardson dished out a team-high seven assists.
The Panthers outrebounded the Oilers by a mark of 39-32.  Wesleyan forced Findlay into 26 turnovers that resulted in 26 points.
Wesleyan remains home this weekend to host Hillsdale College with tip off set for noon on Saturday.  It also marks Senior Day and Alumni Day for both the basketball and cheerleading programs.
