LOUISVILLE, KY. – The post-season awards continue to roll in for the Kentucky Wesleyan College softball team as Meredith Daunhauer was honored by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) with another First Team All-Region selection. Lexie Mullen was also recognized by NFCA as a member of the Second Team.
 
This comes as the second career First Team selection for Daunhauer. Previously this season the Panthers' leadoff hitter earned First Team All-Conference honors before ending her career as one of the most decorated player in school history.
 
This season the GMAC's all-time leader in hits and stolen bases has collected 78 hits in 168 at bats. Her .464 batting average ranks second in the G-MAC and 14th nationally.  Her hit total also ranks second in the conference standings while 78 hits sits 12th in the country.
 
In her career, Daunhauer has recorded a G-MAC record 330 hits and 135 stolen bases. She currently sits second all-time in league history for highest career batting average.
 
Mullen started 48 games at second base for Wesleyan this season. She finished with a .303 batting average with nine doubles, a triple, and a team leading nine homeruns. Mullen has hit 28 career homeruns, a Kentucky Wesleyan school record.
 
The Panthers' clean-up hitter has driven in a team best 43 runs this season. A total that ranks second in the Great Midwest Conference. Mullen produced multiple hits in a game 10 times this season including four doubles and eight RBIs performance on March 22^nd against Malone.
 
The Panthers finished the season 22-26 with a 13-9 mark in G-MAC play.
