ATLANTA, Ga. – The Kentucky Wesleyan College track and field team had another stellar performance this weekend at the Emory Invitational in Atlanta, Ga. The Panthers broke eight school records while the men finished 11th with 29 points.
Fresh off an indoor All G-MAC selection, Adam Bouchard set a pair of top marks in the high jump and pole vault. The sophomore won the high jump with a mark of 2.05-meters while placing 11th in the pole vault at 4.0-meters.
Cheyenne Heuring also set a school record in the pole vault, reaching 2.70-meters.
Trevor Miller posted a distance of 37.66-meters in the hammer throw for the Panthers second school record in the field events.
Four school records were set on the track in the 3k steeplechase, distance medley relay, 1,500-meter and 800-meter run. Colin Zolman posted a time of 10:29.28 in the 3k steeplechase while Hunter Kurz, KJ Laribo, Bronzon Yator and Chase Bland teamed up for a first place finish in the distance medley relay in 10:32.82.
In the 1,500-meter, Bland finished in 4:04.76 while Kurz set a mark of 1:56.81 in the 800-meter.
The Panthers return to action on Friday, April 5 when they host the second annual Kentucky Wesleyan Invitational.
