INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - After a 2-0 start to conference play last week, Kentucky Wesleyan College women's basketball forward
Keelie Lamb has been named the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Player of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday. This marks the first women's basketball Player of the Week selection for the Panthers since November 19, 2018.
Lamb helped the undefeated Panthers to a pair of G-MAC wins by at least a 20-point victory margin in both games at The Sportscenter last week, extending Wesleyan's home winning streak to 23 games, the longest home win streak in program history.
The senior stuffed the staff sheet over the two games averaging 11 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists each game. She also added 2 steals and 1.5 blocks per game.
In Thursday's win over Ohio Dominican, Lamb dished out a season-high 6 assists while adding 10 points and 2 steals. In Saturday's win over Tiffin, Lamb paced the Panthers with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 2 blocks.
Wesleyan sits at 9-0 on the year and 2-0 in G-MAC play. The Panthers host Cedarville University on Saturday in a 2019 G-MAC semifinal rematch. First place in the conference will be up for grabs as both teams sit at 2-0 in the G-MAC.
