OWENSBORO, Ky. – The Kentucky Wesleyan College volleyball team cruised to another three-set victory on Saturday over Alderson Broaddus University as the Panthers honored their six seniors prior to the match.

The Battlers stole the first point of the game before Wesleyan scored five straight points to take control.  Back-to-back kills from Jaylen McEwen and Kristina Canary gave the Panthers a 16-9 lead.  Five of Wesleyan's final seven points came by kills as they took the first set 25-17.

The Panthers kept their momentum in the second set, taking a 3-0 lead after a pair of kills from Julia Moran and a service ace from Lydia Jackson.  Alderson Broaddus pulled within one at 5-4 but an ace from Kylie Foster and a pair of Battler errors gave Wesleyan an 8-4 lead.

Wesleyan pulled away with a 6-1 run to go ahead 19-12.  McEwen tallied a kill to make to 22-16 before Sierra Morrow recorded three straight service aces to take the set 25-16.

The third set was the Panthers largest victory at 25-14.  Moran and Davis both recorded three kills in the final set.

Moran finished with a team-high 10 kills while McEwen and Davis posted seven and five respectively.  Foster, McEwen and Morrow each tallied three aces while Morrow, Canary and Moran had three blocks.  Lydia Jackson contributed 20 assists while McEwen and Nilah Roy posted 10 digs.

The Panthers remain home next week hosting Findlay on Friday and Hillsdale on Saturday in Great Midwest Athletic Conference action.
