OWENSBORO, Ky.  – The Kentucky Wesleyan College volleyball team returned to Great Midwest Athletic Conference action on Friday night and got back in the win column with a 3-0 sweep of Ohio Valley University. 

The Fighting Scots took a 5-0 lead to start the game but the Panthers won six of the next seven points to even things up at six.  Wesleyan took a six point lead at 19-13 for their largest lead of the game before going on a six point run to take the first set on a kill from Sierra Morrow.

It was a tale of two sets as the Panthers jumped out to a 7-1 lead in set two.  Reigning G-MAC Player of the Week Jaylen McEwen recorded four kills as the Panthers went on to hit .423 as a team and post a 25-15 second set victory.

Wesleyan took the first four points of the final set before a pair of 5-0 runs put them ahead 20-9.  The two teams traded the final seven points before Danielle Brouillette sealed the match with a kill.

Alexa Davis finished a team-high nine kills followed by Julia Moran at eight.  Sierra Morrow and Davis both recorded four blocks with Nilah Roy tallied 13 digs.  Lydia Jackson and Kylie Foster combined for 27 assists with 17 and 10 respectively.

The Panthers close out the weekend against Alderson Broaddus at 1 pm CT on Saturday.
