OWENSBORO, Ky. – The Kentucky Wesleyan College squared off against Ohio Dominican University on Saturday, suffering a 47-7 setback in Great Midwest Athletic Conference action.
Ohio Dominican wasted no time getting on the board with their first drive of the game, using just nine plays to march 71-yards downfield for their first touchdown of the day.
Wesleyan's offense appeared to have found their stride on the ensuing drive, taking over seven minutes off the clock with 17 plays. The Panthers were knocking on the end zone's door with first and goal from the five-yard line but a false start penalty and an interception in the end zone halted the Panthers' momentum.
Ohio Dominican scored on their ensuing drive to take a 13-0 lead early in the second quarter as the extra point attempt was missed. The Panthers nearly scored on their third straight drive of the game but were unsuccessful on fourth and six inside the red zone.
The final minute of the first half saw Ohio Dominican's third touchdown of the game but the extra point was blocked by Jalen Humphrey, making it 19-0 at the break.

Wesleyan received the ball to start the second half but the third play of the drive saw a 30-yard pick-six. Ohio Dominican went on to added one two more touchdowns in the third quarter.
Quarterback Mike McGee connected with Peyton Peters for a 31-yard catch late in the third quarter for the Panthers longest play of the day.
The Panthers scored their lone score of the game midway through the fourth quarter after an 86-yard drive. Chauncey Greer hauled in two catches combining for 33-yards while De'Ondre Boggs recorded a 17-yard catch. McGee found Jatorian Dillard for a five-yard touchdown pass before Chris Mangold nailed the extra point.
Ohio Dominican scored their touchdown in the final 90 seconds on a 44-yard pick six.
McGee and Wiley Cain combined for 228-yards in the air with Cain at 116 and McGee at 112. Greer led the receivers with 59-yards followed by Boggs at 49-yards. Dillard tallied 39-yards on the ground on 11 carries.
Jalen Wilson paced the defense with seven tackles on the day while Ramond Jackson tallied six. Asher Spivey, RJ Wilson and Aaron Hatter each recorded five. Shamar Foster recorded the lone sack for the Panthers coming on third down in the fourth quarter. Kendrick Curry and Ramond Jackson finished with two pass break ups.
Wesleyan hits the road for a three-game road trip next week, travelling to Hillsdale, Mich. to take on Hillsdale College. Kick off is set for 1:30 pm CT on Saturday, October 26.
