OWENSBORO, KY. – The Kentucky Wesleyan College women's golf team for the third consecutive round posted a season low. The Panthers fired a 337 in the Battle for Frederica. Wesleyan halved a head-to-head medal play match with Brescia University at the Pearl Club, 2 ½ - 2 ½.
The Panthers saw
Erin Sexsmith lead off the event with a round of 85. Brescia picked-up a win in the opening match as Brooklyn Spicer shot 81.
Maddie Zimmerman also shot 85 and pulled Wesleyan even by winning her match over Meredith Mayes who carded a round of 88.
Both Sam Yake and Sarah Holeman tied after each firing a round of 10-over par 82. Kalen Rice gave the Panthers another point after winning her match 85 to 95.
Scout Pope fell in the final match 91-93 to Makenzie Moore.
Hayley Frost shot 93 while
Riley Medlock posted a 102.

Overall the Panthers shot a round of 337, their lowest of the season and the first time they broke 340 in nearly six years.
The Panthers will travel to Caseyville, Illinois to play in the Bearcat Intercollegiate. The 54-hole event will be contested at Far Oaks Golf Course and being on Monday.
